| Back to Home page | I am very happy to discuss the process of commissioning a portrait with you to ensure that you will be completely happy with the experience and the outcome. I can do this by phone or e-mail, as you like. I find it easiest and most convenient to work from one or a few existing photographs that you already have and like. I am happy to advise you on which is most likely to generate the most compelling portrait. Once we have chosen an image or a composite of images that you are happy with, we will discuss the size and the media (canvas/digital) that best suits your purpose. Of c ourse, I am happy on advise you on this as well. Once you are completely comfortable with the concept for the portrait , you will formally commission me to paint the portrait. At that point, a 50% deposit (cash, cheque or PayPal) will be required. The balance will be due on delivery of the portrait, generally 3 weeks to 2 months after the commission is made, depending on the medium.
